For me, depriving Morgana from her power in 4x13, is the best thing that Merlin has ever done.
When Morgana & Arthur had their confrontation in 4x13 I seriously thought they were going to kiss when they got so close.
There is one thing that makes me so confused about 4x13. When Morgana tells Arthur that she is going to enjoy killing him, she also says “Not even Emrys can save you now.” Arthur doesn’t say anything. Did I miss something? Did he know that there was an Emrys by then? Because I was seriously expecting him to say “Who’s Emrys?”
I think the final scene in 4x13 where Morgana met Aithusa was excellent because it showed that even though she was a powerful, evil sorceress, she could still appreciate the beautiful things in life in the form of the little dragon.
That smug little smile Merlin made in 4x13 when Morgana tried to use magic but couldn’t pissed me off so much. What, he needs to render Morgana powerless in order to defeat her? That’s kind of ridiculous to me, seeing as he’s supposed to be this great sorcerer.
I thought the A/G reunion in 4x12 was the sweetest thing - quiet, understated, but full of love. I just wish it’d been better handled in 4x13 i.e. Arthur being less bipolar and Isolde not having to die to teach him a lesson.
I ship Morgana/Throne. She was practically stroking that thing in the series 4 finale.
If I didn’t read the spoilers for 4x13, I would have never known that Aithusa was saving Morgana. It didn’t look like he did anything special to change her condition, it just looked like he was staring at her.
The scene where Aithusa heals Morgana sends shivers up my spine every single time. The look of shock on Morgana’s face is perfect, especially seeing as this is the first time Morgana has seen a dragon. Katie nailed that scene.
The joy expressed by the knights while shouting “Long live to the Queen” was really contagious.
