The show broke my heart when they tore Gwen and Morgana’s lovely friendship apart.

It angers me how much hate Morgana/Gwen femslashers get, when most of them are lesbians. On the other hand, the same haters go on and on about Merlin/Arthur queerbaiting. I cannot stand the double standards.

Gwen/Morgana does not exist as a convenient way to enable Merlin/Arthur.

I want Gwen and Morgana on the throne together as Queens. They could bring so much to the kingdom with Guinevere’s wisdom and Morgana’s strength. They would be strong but fair.

I still ship Gwen/Morgana.

I really hate it when people claim to ship certain pairings, when really it’s just a thinly veiled attempt of pairing up an obstacle to their OTP with someone else. It makes me feel bad for the people who started legitimately shipping pairings like Gwencelot, Morwen, and Mergana for reasons other than preserving Merthur/Arwen. And no, my Merlin OTP is neither Merthur, Arwen, or any of the other ships I mentioned.

When Morgana returned in S3, I wanted her to convince Gwen to come to her side. Instead, all she did was make assumptions and turned on her loyal companion. I also found her very hypocritical in 3x13, when she expected loyalty from Gwen, when all she did in season 3 was use Gwen for her own revenge. This is why she doesn’t appeal to me anymore.

I felt that Morgana and Gwen in S1 and S2 had the most natural friendship in the whole show. I’m still cut it’s over.

The class difference is (was) as important to Gwen’s and Arthur’s relationship as it was to Gwen’s and Morgana’s.
