I have always seen Morgana as being hopelessly in love with Gwen and them being together preseries and in series 1 (if people can see Merthur subtext from S1 then they cannot deny the much more blatant Gwen/Morgana subtext). This is where I see Morgana’s problem with Gwen now stemming from. She was the wronged party when Gwen went behind her back with Arthur. It explains her hatred for both of them.

I think they should’ve made good!Morgana less good. In S1 she kind of felt like the moral centre of the show. It never made sense that she would turn evil.

One of my favorite BTS moments is from the first season when Katie and Bradley are sitting together and Katie mocks the way he says “Merlin”. “Meeeeeeeeeeeerlin.” It’s cute.

I think it would have been amazing if they’d had Merlin take it upon himself to teach Morgana magic in the first season.

In S1 Gwen was nothing more than Morgana handmaiden and followed Morgana around like a puppy. The only time when we started to see depth in her personality is with her interaction with the boys. This is why I never liked their friendship, Gwen was always in Morgana’s shadow.

I miss the interactions between Merlin and Morgana from the first two seasons. I thought it was cute how he’d bring her flowers if she wasn’t feeling well. <3

I love Morgana and Arthur’s fun and flirty banter from series 1. And their moment of confrontation in series 4 was easily the best part of the finale. I really hope they both have more scenes with each other in the future.

I think we need to see a return of the rat soup from series 1! YUM!

I thought the little crush that Gwen had on Merlin in early S1 was really cute. :)

Season 1 and season 2 Morgana is the best female character ever! I love her and hope to see a redemption for Morgana. :)
