Queen Guinevere is just amazing, it seems that Camelot’s three years of prosperity are resulting from her great qualities as ruler. She is a blessing bestowed upon Camelot and Arthur.
I find it strange that people condemn Gwen for sentencing Sefa to death when she (Gwen) admits that she gave that sentence merely to attract Ruadan to Camelot. Did everyone miss that part of Arthur’s Bane Part Two?
I really liked how Sefa pointed out the catch-22 that her father, like most sorcerers, is caught in. I really disliked how Gwen dismissed it.
I love the new Gwen! She kicks ass as queen!
I can’t wait for there to be Gwen/Mithian scenes this series. If they make them competitors or ‘frenemies’ then I will be very disappointed, as this seems to be the media’s default for female relationships - fighting over a man. We all know that just isn’t the case in real life and that Gwen and Mithian would make wonderful allies.
There is a massive difference between saying that Gwen saying ‘respect cannot be earned with blood’ was highly hypocritical or else ignorant to the extreme, and saying that her sentencing Sefa to death (which she didn’t carry out) was the wrong decision. People like me are upset at Gwen for that line, not for what she did. It also certainly doesn’t mean that we hate Gwen. Though for me it does mean that I am disappointed in her.
I’d be heartbroken if Gwen turns evil this series, but I think it’ll make an interesting plot.
I think both Gwen and Morgana are amazing women who stand up for what they believe. However, I sympathize with Morgana more since she’s been betrayed by everyone she loves and she doesn’t deserve that.
Arthur would have taken a whole series to figure out that Sefa was a spy. Gwen does it in a day. Work it, my queen.
I will always love Gwen, but after she sentenced Sefa to death, I couldn’t help but think about the times when Uther had sentenced Gwen to death for her father and Arthur. I know her maid had to be punished, but death?
