It scares me how much hate Gwen gets in this fandom. It’s not always vitriol, it’s not always fire and brimstone, but when I read fanfics where the author kills Gwen off so Merlin and Arthur can be together or how people call her “useless” and the “worst character on the show” it leaves me confused and angry. Gwen has been the only consistent character on this show! She’s always kind, she’s loyal, she’s honest, she’s brave, and she stands up for what she believes. These are not the characteristics of a person who you cast aside and hate.
